Information You Submit
Search forms send the name, phone number, or address you enter to the third-party provider that supplies the results. South Gate People Search does not save a copy of those searches on its own servers. When you contact us, we receive the details you choose to send and use them only to answer your message.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create standard server logs that may include an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Aggregated log data helps maintain the site and shows which resources visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
The information described above supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links may lead to South Gate resources, Los Angeles County and California records offices, library collections, or third-party search tools. Each destination applies its own privacy policy to data submitted there. Sponsored search results are supplied by a separate company, so that provider’s rules govern information entered into its service.
Parties That Process Data
Hosting and support providers process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatically collected information described above. Data may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it; visitor information is not otherwise shared.
Safeguarding Your Information
An encrypted connection serves the site. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for the purposes stated above. Since visitors do not open accounts, South Gate People Search holds no user password or account profile that could be exposed here.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted such information so it can be deleted.
California Privacy Rights
California consumers may have rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive information, and receive equal treatment for exercising those rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, subject to its scope and exceptions. Because South Gate People Search retains very little, a request generally involves checking contact messages and server logs and deleting data found there. Submit a request through the Contact page.
Official records held by South Gate, Los Angeles County, or California agencies are outside our control. Requests for those records or lawful redactions must go to the custodian. Access to agency records is governed separately by the California Public Records Act, Government Code § 7920.000 et seq., along with record-specific exemptions and restrictions.
